Jesus Christ is the central figure of Christianity. According to the Holy Bible, he was the son of God, and during his earthly life he was born of a virgin, performed miracles, and founded the Church. He gave his life to assure the salvation of all believers, and was then resurrected from the dead, and ascended into heaven.
